BOB FORD MEMORIAL WEB SITE
HE FLIES WITH THE ANGELS NOW
1/LT. ROBERT A. FORD, JR.
UNITED STATES AIR FORCE
Bob Ford – Christian husband, father, son, brother – went to Korea as an officer and pilot in the United States Air Force to protect our freedom, to protect our nation, to protect our children’s future. On March 11, 1957, he lost his life when his F86F jet fighter-bomber plane crashed. He was not killed during active combat in the “War That Was Not A War” in Korea, but shortly after, like many of our Marines in post-war Iraq of 2003. For this reason, his widow could not have his name placed on the new Korean War Memorial. His war was not highly publicized on television like the Vietnam War, The Gulf War, or the Post 911 Iraq War. He is a fallen hero who, except for his wife and family, and friends like myself who were in Korea with him, is totally forgotten. That is the purpose of this web site – to remember a fallen husband, a fallen father, a fallen son and brother, a fallen comrade, a fallen friend.
HE WILL MOUNT UP WITH WINGS LIKE EAGLES!
“Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength;
They will mount up with wings like eagles,
They will run and not get tired,
They will walk and not become weary.”Isaiah 40:31
